Microsoft Power Platform transforms engagement center process to deliver faster impact for animal health

Patterson Companies, a health and animal health distributor, needed a faster, more consistent way to manage manual request and approval processes across its call center and supply chain operations. Using Microsoft Power BI along with Microsoft Power Platform tools, the company set out to reduce inventory issues, improve visibility, and support low-code development for new business workflows.

Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Power Automate were used to build streamlined apps for new item requests and return approvals, with Power BI dashboards providing reporting and insight. Microsoft helped Patterson Companies launch the New Item request app in less than a month and drive major results, including an 87% reduction in write-offs, a 20% increase in sales with no staffing increase, more than 105,000 transactions, 136,000+ logins, and about an hour saved per day for core users.
