Microsoft and Delta launch cloud solution sales program with Azure and IoT

Delta Electronics, a global manufacturing company, partnered with Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Azure to accelerate its cloud and IoT strategy for smart buildings. Facing the challenge of enabling people-centric lighting, centralized energy management and real-time facility monitoring, Delta also moved quickly to become a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider and earn multiple Azure-related competencies to support large-scale IoT deployments.

Using Microsoft Power BI alongside Azure IoT Hub, Azure Stream Analytics and Azure SQL Database, Delta deployed two solutions—Chiller System Anomaly Detection and Bluetooth Intelligent Control—that provide real-time sensor ingestion, big-data analysis and visual dashboards. The Microsoft Power BI-enabled solution delivered faster anomaly detection, earlier fault intervention, improved operational efficiency and lower maintenance costs, while Bluetooth-based lighting control improved occupant comfort and enabled personalized, energy-saving lighting scenarios.
