Meralco, the largest power distributor in the Philippines serving over 6 million customers, was struggling with stretched on‑site storage, shrinking employee inboxes, fragmented archives, versioning problems, and the need to support a growing mobile workforce. To modernize its environment and broaden collaboration and security capabilities, Meralco turned to Microsoft Power BI as part of a wider Microsoft 365 deployment (including Office 365, Windows 10, and Enterprise Mobility + Security).

Using Microsoft Power BI alongside the Microsoft 365 stack, Meralco deployed OneDrive and SharePoint Online to centralize files (giving many employees up to 5 TB of personal cloud storage and 50 TB of shared space), Office 365 for always‑current apps, Windows 10/BitLocker for built‑in encryption, and Intune/Configuration Manager for device and update management. The result was stronger data security, 24/7 secure access, eliminated versioning issues, increased mobile productivity, reduced reliance on third‑party tools, and faster analytics adoption through Power BI and Power Apps, cutting manual reporting and speeding decision making.
