MediaBrix, a New York–based mobile-first advertising company, faced the challenge of making sense of more than 25 terabytes of fragmented mobile data to pinpoint the right moments to serve ads. Lacking the web-style cookie data that competitors use, MediaBrix needed a centralized, fast analytics platform so its engineers and clients could query massive datasets and gain actionable insight; to do that it adopted Microsoft Power BI and the broader Microsoft Azure platform and services.

Using Microsoft Azure services—Azure Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, Data Factory, SQL Data Warehouse, and Azure Machine Learning—MediaBrix centralized its data and enabled real‑time and deep analytics, with plans to deliver self-service visualization via Microsoft Power BI. The result: queries that used to take ~15 hours now return in ~15 seconds across 25–30 TB of data, the company is ingesting terabytes weekly, and campaign conversion rates run about three times standard click‑through benchmarks.
