A Microsoft Power BI Case Study

Preview of the Nintex Case Study

Making a visible difference: workflow analytics transform business processes

Nintex, a global provider of the Nintex Workflow Platform, needed a cloud-based, self-service way to give customers visibility into automated processes and the ROI of workflow automation. To deliver turnkey, interactive workflow analytics inside its Nintex Hawkeye offering, Nintex chose Microsoft Power BI (using Power BI Embedded) to provide embeddable visuals and a data exploration experience that non‑technical users could tailor.

Using Microsoft Power BI Embedded and its REST APIs, Nintex integrated preconfigured “Lenses” (for Usage, Process Intelligence, etc.) via DirectQuery so customers can view and customize dashboards without engineering involvement. The solution delivered immediate, actionable insights—customers gain real-time visibility into workflows and ROI, and early adopters like Hawke’s Bay Regional Council cut manual data entry, improved order, stock and delivery tracking, and freed staff to focus on higher‑value work.
