Majans, a Queensland‑based snackfood manufacturer of about 120 employees, faced the challenge of scaling operations and moving off paper, whiteboards and legacy systems to become a data‑driven “factory of the future.” Working with partner Sable37 and leveraging Microsoft Power BI alongside Dynamics 365, PowerApps, Flow, Teams and SharePoint, Majans set out to automate manual data collection and shorten the cycle time lost to analysis so it could compete more effectively with much larger international rivals.

The vendor implemented an Azure‑based Dynamics 365 core with PowerApps for frontline data capture, Power BI for visual management and gamified leaderboards, Teams for real‑time collaboration and an Azure IoT pilot to stream machine and instrument data. As a result Microsoft Power BI and the wider Microsoft stack automated collection and analysis that previously consumed about 80% of staff time, delivered unprecedented real‑time visibility across teams, compressed process cycle times and laid the foundations for continuous improvement, higher engagement and faster decision making.
