Case Study: L’Oréal achieves democratized business intelligence and faster decision-making with Microsoft Power BI

A Microsoft Power BI Case Study

Preview of the L’Oreal Case Study

L’Oréal rapidly adopts Microsoft Teams, inspires global conversations and innovation

L’Oreal, the global beauty company with more than 86,000 employees, needed to modernize its workplace to speed collaboration and innovation across brands, geographies, and supply chains. To create an “employee‑first” digital environment, L’Oreal adopted Microsoft 365 cloud services—most notably Microsoft Teams for collaboration—and used Microsoft Power BI to democratize business intelligence alongside Exchange Online, OneDrive, Planner and Office 365.

By rolling out Office 365 and driving rapid Teams adoption, supported by a global change‑management program and local champions, L’Oreal deployed these tools to 86,000 users in just over a year and achieved tangible gains. With Microsoft Power BI and the broader Microsoft suite, the company cut time‑to‑market by at least 50% on some projects, reduced straightforward contract turnaround from 2–3 months to about one week, and boosted employee engagement (97% survey response rate), while enabling faster, data‑driven decision making.
