A Microsoft Power BI Case Study

Preview of the Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Case Study

Logistics company Hellmann modernizes workstations with Microsoft 365, keeps operations running despite COVID-19

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, a global freight company with nearly 11,000 employees that handles almost 65,000 shipments daily, needed to modernize roughly 9,000 office workstations and digitally transform its processes to better connect teams and keep supply chains running during COVID-19. Working with Microsoft Power BI alongside the broader Microsoft 365 suite (including Teams, SharePoint, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Defender Antivirus), Hellmann launched its Digital Office initiative to move to cloud-based collaboration and security tools.

Microsoft Power BI helped enable a staged rollout of Microsoft 365 E5, SharePoint, and Power BI combined with training for almost 100 digital officers, a help desk, e-learning, and an internal roadshow; Azure AD and Defender strengthened security. The solution let employees continue working from home with minimal disruption, made Teams the central collaboration tool, delivered Power BI–based reporting for faster analytics and rollout management, and supported critical operations (including urgent PPE shipments), modernizing ~9,000 workstations and earning strong internal praise.
