Case Study: Mission Linen Supply achieves instant order insight and faster problem resolution with Microsoft Power BI

A Microsoft Power BI Case Study

Preview of the Mission Linen Supply Case Study

Linen service routes orders through the cloud to expand business and solve order problems faster

Mission Linen Supply, a family‑owned linen and uniform rental company with about 2,500 employees, needed to expand into direct online sales without owning inventory. The company was constrained by a third‑party EDI provider that took months to onboard suppliers, charged per‑transaction fees, and offered little visibility into order flow—issues that hurt customer service. Already using Microsoft Azure and working with partner VNB Consulting Services, Mission evaluated Azure Logic Apps and Microsoft Power BI to regain control of its e‑commerce order processing.

VNB Consulting built an Azure‑based integration platform using Azure Logic Apps to route and translate orders and Microsoft Power BI to surface real‑time analytics. The solution was built in three months, cut supplier onboarding to about two weeks (down from two months or more), eliminated per‑supplier and per‑transaction fees (saving roughly $5,000/year), and gave Mission instant insight to fix issues faster—supporting a goal to reduce embroidered garment processing from 14 to 11 days. Microsoft Power BI is used to visualize the improved order‑flow data for business users.
