Leonardo Global Solutions, the facility management arm of the Leonardo Group, faced slow, error-prone manual processes using Excel checklists to monitor cleaning, cafeterias, and other services across more than 40 sites in Italy. To modernize and remove paper-based workflows they engaged NTT DATA and adopted Microsoft PowerApps on Surface devices, together with cloud services and Microsoft Power BI for reporting.

NTT DATA built and rolled out the PowerApps solution in just two months, automating checklist capture, PDF generation and notifications via Microsoft Flow and centralizing data in the cloud for analysis with Microsoft Power BI. The deployment—implemented at about 40 sites and replacing dozens of monthly Excel files—delivered more accurate, real-time data, faster detection and response to issues, improved monthly reports, and higher staff engagement and efficiency.
