Leading Dutch Energy Company Improves Access to Collaborative Workspaces, Increases Productivity with User-Friendly App

Eneco Group, a leading Dutch energy supplier with about 3,000 employees at its Eneco World headquarters, faced difficulty locating and reserving roughly 200 small meeting and focus rooms across 14 floors. To fix this, Eneco worked with Microsoft partner Macaw and built a mobile RoomFinder app using Office 365 tools—Microsoft PowerApps and Microsoft Flow—together with SharePoint and Microsoft Power BI for analytics.

Macaw’s solution automated reservations (Flow/SharePoint), delivered in about five weeks, and added Power BI dashboards to monitor usage and predict demand. The RoomFinder app now serves ~3,000 employees, reduced external meeting bookings and related costs, increased cross‑floor collaboration, and cut development costs to roughly one‑third of the estimated OutSystems alternative—while Microsoft Power BI provides the reporting that helps optimize room utilization.
