ABELDent, a leading provider of dental practice management software, faced challenges with its on‑premises solution—each office needed server hardware, updates were often skipped, and systems were increasingly vulnerable to breaches and ransomware. To modernize and gain better analytics, ABELDent moved to cloud-based Microsoft technologies and incorporated Microsoft Power BI for reporting and data-driven decision making as part of its strategy.

Working with partner ObjectSharp, ABELDent built ABELDent Advantage on Microsoft Azure with Dynamics 365, Office 365, Azure SQL Database, App Service, and Application Insights, and used Microsoft Power BI for dashboarding and prioritization. The move delivered automatic backups and stronger HIPAA‑aligned security, a new support model with alerts and dashboards, and faster releases—deployment cadence improved from every two months to every two weeks—making the business more scalable and responsive to customer needs.
