Case Study: Kraft Heinz achieves unified, near-real-time sales insights with Microsoft Power BI

A Microsoft Power BI Case Study

Preview of the Kraft Heinz Case Study

Kraft Heinz develops two groundbreaking apps with Microsoft technology, paving the way to transform the CPG industry

Kraft Heinz, a global food and beverage enterprise, faced a fragmented landscape of dozens of internal apps that made it difficult for sales professionals to connect data and generate actionable insights. To address this, Kraft Heinz partnered with Microsoft and adopted Microsoft Power BI (alongside Azure and other Microsoft technologies) to centralize reporting and visualization.

Kraft Heinz and Microsoft built two apps—Insights 2 Action (I2A) and LaunchPad—to aggregate key applications and insights into a single destination, while Ernst & Young used Microsoft Power BI on Azure to enhance data visualization. The solution unified a fragmented data and business application estate, created a single source of truth for near‑real‑time sales insights, and delivered advanced analytics to more than 500 sales professionals, with Microsoft Power BI positioned to enable broader operational improvements beyond sales.
