Jumbo, the Dutch supermarket chain, wanted to turn its customers into loyal fans by delivering more personalized, responsive experiences. To do that, it needed to move away from manual, spreadsheet-based processes and better use the growing data from its loyalty program. The company worked with Microsoft Power BI alongside Microsoft Azure, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks to unlock and visualize customer insights.

Microsoft helped Jumbo automate analytics and apply AI and machine learning to understand customer behavior, optimize offers, and improve core retail operations. With Microsoft Power BI dashboards making insights easier to understand, Jumbo improved personalization across online and in-store experiences, modernized manual processes, and increased conversion in some cases by a factor of 3.
