Illimity Bank simplifies loan process and saves 15 hours a month with Microsoft Power Automate

illimity Bank, Italy’s first cloud-native bank, needed to modernize a slow, manual approval process for employee discounted loans that relied on unstructured emails, messages, and phone calls. To digitize and streamline this workflow it adopted Microsoft Power BI as part of the broader Microsoft Power Platform stack (including Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Forms/Forms Pro, SharePoint and Teams).

Using Power Automate to ingest structured Forms data into SharePoint, a Power Apps front end for users, and automated approvals and notifications in Teams, Microsoft Power BI helped illimity Bank cut processing time per request from about one hour to 20 minutes, saving roughly 15 hours a month while handling ~15 requests monthly. The solution also delivers a consolidated view of requests, supports about €5 million in employee credit demand originally from 10% of staff, and is expected to be used by 50% of employees within two years.
