Case Study: ifolor doubles peak-season transactions and reduces costs with Microsoft Power BI

A Microsoft Power BI Case Study

Preview of the Ifolor Case Study

Ifolor delivers happy holidays to more customers by adopting Microsoft Dynamics 365

Ifolor, a family-owned Swiss retailer of personalized photo books, calendars, and gifts, faced enormous seasonal spikes that strained its ordering, production, delivery, and reporting processes. To handle peak volumes and replace an inflexible on-premises ERP, Ifolor worked with Microsoft and partners to deploy the Dynamics 365 suite and adopt Microsoft Power BI for reporting and analytics.

The vendor solution—Dynamics 365 Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Customer Service combined with Microsoft Power BI—created a centralized, cloud ERP with automated processes, elastic licensing for seasonal staff, and self-service analytics. As a result Ifolor doubled transaction capacity and cut costs to their lowest level, processing up to 30,000 sales orders, 85,000 invoices/packing slips, and 700,000 financial transactions per day in December 2019 (vs. 20,000/30,000/300,000 the year before). Microsoft Power BI gave management real‑time insights to further optimize production, logistics, and marketing.
