Cox Automotive, a global automotive services company with 25 brands and more than USD 7 billion in revenue, faced the challenge of modernizing collaboration and consolidating tools across disparate locations and business units to improve communication, streamline processes, and support remote work. To do this the company adopted Microsoft 365 Enterprise tools and Microsoft Power BI to gain insight into usage, measure adoption, and drive its digital transformation across the organization.
Using Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Stream, MyAnalytics, Workplace Analytics and Teams Calling) and Microsoft Power BI for dashboards and performance tracking, Cox Automotive centralized collaboration, automated site and content decisions, and made data-driven choices about adoption. The deployment enabled seamless remote work during COVID-19, reduced phone infrastructure costs by replacing desk phones, and delivered measurable savings—more than USD 1 million realized and an anticipated additional USD 200,000—while giving leaders company-wide visibility into usage and opportunities.
