A Microsoft Power BI Case Study

Preview of the Geojit Financial Services Case Study

Geojit Financial Services shortens sales cycles, increases cross-sell opportunities with Dynamics 365

Geojit Financial Services, a leading Indian investment services firm managing about INR 37,000 crore for more than 1 million clients, needed to replace legacy on‑premises CRM with a cloud solution to unify product, service, and client history, improve sales capabilities, and support remote work. To meet those needs, Geojit partnered with Microsoft Power BI and deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service together with Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI), including a partner portal to centralize data and comply with India datacenter requirements.

Using Dynamics 365 as the unified CRM, plus the Power Apps portal, Power Automate integrations, and Power BI analytics, Geojit streamlined sales processes, improved lead quality, and automated trade confirmations and routing for service agents. As a result—enabled by Microsoft Power BI—over 1,500 sellers and 200 call‑center agents adopted the platform, total revenue rose 12%, average new deal size grew 9% in six months, and margins improved (customer‑acquisition costs fell, boosting margins by about 6%), while business continuity was maintained during COVID‑19.
