European parallel distribution company Abacus Medicine sustains its rapid growth with cloud solutions

Abacus Medicine, a fast-growing European parallel distributor of prescription medicines, needed a flexible, scalable ERP to support rapid expansion across users, sites, warehouses and legal entities while minimizing custom development. To speed operations and improve access to affordable medicines, the company adopted cloud-based Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and tools from the Microsoft Power Platform, including Microsoft Power BI for real-time reporting and analytics.

Using Microsoft Power BI alongside Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate and Logic Apps, Abacus Medicine automated repetitive tasks, improved visibility across warehousing, finance, sales and production, and kept customizations below 15%. The changes removed production bottlenecks and made packaging faster, enabled more than 250 employees to work simultaneously, cut quarterly stock counting down to a year‑end physical only (saving six production days a year), and delivered real‑time insights that drive correct shipments and quicker financial transactions.
