ElringKlinger is taking internal reporting to new levels with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and a data warehouse

ElringKlinger, a global automotive supplier, was struggling with slow, opaque reporting: only a few IT specialists could extract and prepare ERP data, reports had to be merged manually in Excel, and the on‑premises warehouse couldn’t scale to handle growing prototype and test‑bench data. To modernize forecasting, controlling and analytics, ElringKlinger moved its data warehouse to Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and adopted Microsoft Power BI (supported by Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Database) to provide a scalable, up‑to‑date platform.

Using Microsoft Power BI on Azure (implemented with partner b.telligent), ElringKlinger moved to a central cloud data warehouse that pulls raw ERP data, applies consistent business logic and delivers an interactive Power BI front end. The result: users get reports within seconds, troubleshooting and data transparency improved, manual Excel merging was eliminated, and the platform now supports 600+ users and large analytics workloads (including test data volumes of ~100 GB/day). Microsoft Power BI on Azure produced visible results within days and the full BI vNext rollout was completed in about six months.
