Assimilated Information Systems, a South African provider of the DocFusion document-automation solution, faced the challenge of helping paper-intensive customers digitize massive document workflows (one customer generated about 30 million pages per month) while adding easy-to-use analytics without diverting development resources. By integrating Microsoft Power BI Embedded, AIS delivered ready-made, responsive BI—showing metrics like templates generated per month, templates per site, busiest templates, active users, and Azure usage for scaling—without building visualization tools from scratch. The implementation cut AIS development time and costs, freed the team to focus on core DocFusion features, sped up customizations and updates, and helped customers reduce paper-related expenses and turnaround times while improving visibility and operational agility.
