DMSolar, Mexico’s largest solar distributor based in Guadalajara, was struggling with a fragmented IT stack—Google Drive, Dropbox and unreliable Alcatel telephony—that hindered collaboration, security and mobility as the business rapidly expanded. With guidance from partner Wolk LAB, the company moved to Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Office 365 services (SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Skype for Business and Teams) to unify communications and document management.

The Microsoft Power BI / Office 365 deployment centralized documents in SharePoint and OneDrive, eliminated dropped calls and downtime with Skype for Business, and enabled true mobile work for managers and field teams. As a result DMSolar improved security and collaboration, gained about 15 minutes back per employee per day (roughly 11 hours company‑wide), lowered total cost of ownership with a projected payback within two years, and is now planning to adopt Microsoft Power BI for improved financial analysis.
