A Microsoft Power BI Case Study
Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM), the commonwealth’s largest employer association with a 50‑person staff supporting more than 4,000 member organizations, struggled with aging on‑premises systems, slow remote access, fragmented tools, and complex licensing that limited mobility and member service. To modernize, AIM moved to a Microsoft cloud stack—Office 365, Azure, SharePoint Online, Dynamics 365/Protech AMS and Skype for Business Online—and is planning to deploy Microsoft Power BI for cross‑system analytics.
Partnering with iCorps Technologies to implement the Microsoft solution, AIM migrated core systems to Office 365 and Azure, adopted Protech AMS on Dynamics 365, and trained staff on cloud collaboration tools. The result: reliable mobile access, real‑time member data, stronger security controls, simplified licensing, near‑zero help‑desk calls, and a reduced server footprint (down to one on‑premises server) while maintaining comparable IT spend. AIM will use Microsoft Power BI to centralize reporting and measure adoption and business value across systems.
