A Microsoft Power BI Case Study
Crocs, the global footwear brand known for its Classic Clogs, faced the sudden disruptions of COVID‑19: a fully remote workforce, the need to coordinate a large cross‑functional “Free Pair for Healthcare” campaign, and the challenge of staying connected to customers and retailers under heavy site traffic. To respond quickly and securely, Crocs adopted Microsoft technologies—calling out Microsoft Power BI alongside Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 E5—to enable fast collaboration, remote events, and data‑driven decision making.
By consolidating on Microsoft 365 E5, Teams (including Teams live events and Teams Calling), Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune, Teams Rooms, and Microsoft Power BI, Crocs launched the giveaway in days, donated more than 860,000 pairs of shoes valued at over $40 million, and handled as many as 500,000 daily site visitors during the 45‑day campaign. Microsoft Power BI provided near‑real‑time CFO dashboards (updated four times a day), turning weeks of reporting into minutes, while Teams and related tools cut hundreds of thousands in telephony costs and accelerated cross‑functional collaboration and decision making.
