Crayon gives a customer better control of on-premises resources with Azure Arc

Crayon, a global IT services and managed‑services provider, was helping customers like TINE SA who could not obtain an accurate view of their sprawling on‑premises server inventory. To solve this, Crayon deployed Microsoft Azure Arc to bring on‑prem servers into a single management plane and plans to use Microsoft Power BI on Azure for reporting and cost‑allocation analytics.

Using Microsoft Azure Arc, Crayon has connected 550 on‑premises servers (with about 650 more to follow) and unified them with the 220 servers already in Azure, enabling server tagging for owner, location and role and a single pane of glass for inventory. The deployment delivered immediate visibility—allowing test servers to be shut down outside business hours, faster incident routing, and planned extensions for policy, security, monitoring and cost‑reporting using Microsoft Power BI, giving measurable control across the hybrid estate.
