Coloplast, a Danish med‑tech company serving millions of patients in 138 countries, faced fragmented, spreadsheet- and PDF‑based reporting and an on‑premises data warehouse that limited agility, scale, and self‑service analytics. To modernize BI across its global organization, Coloplast migrated to cloud analytics using Microsoft Power BI alongside Azure services such as Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake.

Using Microsoft Power BI and Azure PaaS components, Coloplast built an enterprise data estate that centralizes and models CRM, ERP, and other data to deliver interactive, self‑service dashboards and advanced analytics. The implementation—delivered with partner Kapacity—replaced thousands of fixed PDF reports, shifted teams from maintenance to development, and provided elastic scalability, faster insights, and improved decision making across the business.
