Coir product manufacturer boosts operational efficiency through digital transformation

Green Soils, a Sri Lankan manufacturer and exporter of coir growing media, faced an aging, non‑scalable supply‑chain system that left back‑ and front‑office data disconnected, forcing manual reconciliation and causing delays and extra workload. To modernize operations, Green Soils worked with Microsoft to deploy Microsoft Power BI alongside Microsoft Dynamics NAV (with implementation support from partner WebQuarters) to create a real‑time, integrated transactional system.

Using Microsoft Power BI and Dynamics NAV, the vendor built an end‑to‑end solution with real‑time data connections, improving inventory and sales visibility across locations and eliminating manual verification. The implementation increased workforce productivity and reporting quality, boosted operational efficiency and employee satisfaction, and cut financial reporting time from about two weeks to a few seconds.
