A Microsoft Power BI Case Study
Citta Design, a New Zealand–based medium retailer of furniture and homeware, needed to unify B2B and B2C channels, improve inventory visibility, and speed time to market while coping with COVID-19 disruptions and reliance on external web vendors. To address this, the company adopted Microsoft technologies—most notably Dynamics 365 Commerce (with Dynamics 365 Sales and Supply Chain Management, Microsoft Teams) and analytics via Microsoft Power BI—to create a single source of truth across operations and customer engagement.
By deploying Dynamics 365 Commerce and building analytics dashboards with Microsoft Power BI, Citta Design launched a new B2C site during lockdown, moved web development in‑house, and gained real‑time inventory and customer insights. The unified platform eliminated dependence on outside vendors, accelerated product launches (from photography to live SKU and campaigns), prevented overselling with up‑to‑date stock data, and improved agility, customer satisfaction, and readiness for global expansion.
