Chedraui empowers frontline workers with Microsoft Teams and task publishing to provide faster and more consistent customer service

Chedraui, one of Mexico’s largest grocery retailers with nearly 300 stores and 40,000 employees, needed to replace a fragmented, back‑office task system to ensure consistent merchandising, stocking, and customer service across locations. To modernize frontline operations and secure companywide communication, Chedraui adopted Microsoft Teams with task publishing and complementary Microsoft services — including Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint and Office 365 — implemented with partner bSide.

bSide built a solution using Teams task publishing, a Store Walk Power App, Power Automate/Graph integrations and Microsoft Power BI dashboards embedded in Teams so managers can publish daily tasks, collect completion data, and view store‑level performance. The rollout reached 40,000 employees across ~300 stores during COVID‑19, significantly reduced the time to assign, monitor, and supervise tasks, improved consistency of displays and stocking, enabled real‑time store support, and gave operations actionable insights via Microsoft Power BI.
