Repsol, the multinational energy company operating in 35 countries with more than 25,000 employees, faced fragmented communication between headquarters, offices and remote rigs—relying on a mix of chat apps, email, manual processes and paper that hindered real-time coordination. To modernize collaboration and data insights, Repsol adopted Microsoft Power BI as part of a Microsoft 365 stack (including Microsoft Teams, Power Automate and Visual Studio) to centralize communication, mobility, visualization and process automation.

By rolling out Microsoft Teams channels organized by country and project and pairing them with data dashboards and automation from Microsoft Power BI, Repsol improved shift handovers, traceability and real-time collaboration, significantly reducing email overload and the need for travel while enabling effective remote work during COVID‑19. The Microsoft Power BI–backed solution reached teams across the organization, driving greater transparency, faster responses and freeing staff to focus on strategic tasks rather than administrative work.
