A Microsoft Power BI Case Study
Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a U.S. nonprofit serving more than 4 million young people across roughly 4,300 Clubs, faced inefficient legacy systems that made collaboration difficult and left leadership reliant on annual survey snapshots (about 140,000 responses) to assess program effectiveness. To modernize operations and surface timely insights, the organization partnered with Microsoft technologies—including Microsoft Power BI, Dynamics 365, Office 365, Azure, and Microsoft Flow.
Using Microsoft Power BI to aggregate Dynamics-driven data from the new MyFuture platform and display interactive dashboards on SharePoint, staff now get near–real-time views of member participation, demographics, and engagement trends so local teams can benchmark performance and target interventions. Combined with Office 365 and Flow automations that save an estimated 1–2+ hours per day during busy rollouts, the Microsoft Power BI solution has improved collaboration, sped decision-making across thousands of locations, and freed staff to spend more time supporting youth.
