Case Study: Bosch achieves real-time supply chain visibility and operational efficiency with Microsoft Power BI

A Microsoft Power BI Case Study

Preview of the Bosch Case Study

Bosch delivers supply chain efficiencies using Java on Azure

Bosch, a global manufacturing company, needed to scale its Java-based Track and Trace IoT solution across Germany and Europe and reduce the operational overhead that was slowing its small engineering team. To provide real-time reporting and actionable insights, Bosch used Microsoft Power BI alongside Azure services (including Azure Spring Cloud and Azure SQL Database) to modernize its Track and Trace platform.

By migrating Spring Boot microservices to Azure Spring Cloud, replacing a 250 GB Oracle database with Azure SQL, and using Azure Monitor and Azure Application Gateway for observability and ingress, Bosch is now ready for multiregion deployments and has freed its small team from infrastructure management so they can focus on features and customers. Microsoft Power BI delivers meaningful, real-time reports integrated with customer ERP systems, improving visibility and operational responsiveness across the supply chain.
