Bentley Systems helps close the global productivity gap with Azure Digital Twins

Bentley Systems, a global infrastructure software provider, faced the challenge of pulling together massive, often real-time sensor and operational data to create actionable digital twins for complex assets. To give users clear, data-driven views of infrastructure projects, Bentley adopted a cloud-first approach that included Microsoft Power BI alongside Azure Digital Twins, Azure IoT Hub, and Time Series Insights to visualize and analyze time-series and IoT data in context.

Using Microsoft Power BI with the iTwin platform and Azure services, Bentley enabled rich 3D/4D visualizations and analytics that reduced the time to assemble a complete operational picture, supported real-time monitoring (for example, Microsoft’s Singapore HQ) and predictive scenarios like flood modeling, and helped users cut maintenance costs, reduce downtime, and minimize physical inspections. Microsoft Power BI also plays a role in Bentley’s co-selling partnership with Microsoft, expanding reach and revenue while helping close the infrastructure productivity gap.
