Bahrain’s Ministry of Youth and Sport enhances remote collaboration with Microsoft 365 and Teams

The Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs, Bahrain’s government agency established in 1975 to develop and support talented youth, was hampered by cumbersome internal processes, rigid hierarchies and slow decision-making. To boost agility, collaboration and information sharing the ministry adopted Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams and implemented Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint and Microsoft Power BI as part of its digital transformation with Microsoft Power BI.

Microsoft Power BI, together with Power Apps, Power Automate, Teams, SharePoint and Enterprise Mobility + Security, enabled fast creation of internal e‑services (now 1–2 weeks), an HR dashboard for staffing insights, secure remote work with multi‑factor authentication, and broad Teams adoption by nearly 200 staff. As a result, the ministry completed 20–50% more projects in 2020, improved productivity and collaboration, and strengthened security and remote access through the Microsoft Power BI–driven solution.
