Case Study: AXA achieves enhanced collaboration, security, and data-driven insights with Microsoft Power BI

AXA, a global insurance leader based in France with 10,000+ employees operating in more than 60 countries, needed to modernize its workplace to move from “payer to partner,” meet customers’ digital expectations, and maintain strong, compliant security across diverse markets. To do this it adopted Microsoft cloud technologies—Microsoft 365 (including Office 365, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Windows 10, and Azure AD P1) and analytics with Microsoft Power BI.

Using Microsoft 365, AXA consolidated identity and security with Azure Active Directory P1, deployed Office 365 data-loss and information-protection tools, and rolled out Teams and SharePoint to enable global collaboration; it also replaced large spreadsheets with dashboards and operational reporting built with Microsoft Power BI. The Microsoft Power BI–enabled reporting and the wider Microsoft stack improved productivity (teams of 150–300 collaborate in Teams, Leaders broadcast to thousands), strengthened compliance as the solution was deployed “almost everywhere,” sped product development and knowledge-sharing across markets, and increased IT efficiency through automated Office 365 updates.
