ASOS fends off today’s online threats with Azure Security Center

ASOS, the London‑founded online fashion retailer serving over 23 million customers, faced rapidly increasing automated human- and bot‑based attacks as it rebuilt its platform on a cloud microservice architecture. To gain end‑to‑end visibility and stronger cloud security posture, ASOS adopted Microsoft technologies—primarily Azure Security Center and Azure Sentinel—and coupled those tools with Microsoft Power BI to provide a single pane of glass for monitoring and analytics.

Microsoft Power BI, together with Azure Security Center and Azure Sentinel, delivered unified dashboards and reporting across 150 subscriptions and roughly 60,000 assets, enabling ASOS to spot common themes, apply configuration changes that can eliminate about 20% of issues at once, automate alert handling, and enforce policies (for example, threat protection on AKS). The integrated solution improved ASOS’s Secure Score, increased automation and operational efficiency, and helped the company reduce the impact of online attacks—making ASOS “more secure than ever,” according to its security leadership.
