Argentine retailer plans business expansion by improving customer service and product management

Farmacity, the largest retail pharmacy chain in Argentina, faced growth constraints from 21-year-old, non‑integrated legacy systems that fragmented customer data and made product and promotion management slow and manual. To support expansion and deliver omnichannel customer experiences, Farmacity implemented Microsoft Power BI as part of a broader Microsoft solution stack—including Dynamics 365 for Retail and Dynamics 365 for Customer Service—with implementation support from partner Axxon Consulting.

Using Microsoft Power BI alongside Dynamics 365, Farmacity automated and centralized product catalog, promotion and CRM processes—cutting the vademecum import from four steps to one (about three minutes), enabling up to 20 concurrent promotions via a single file upload, and creating unified customer views for omnichannel service. The Microsoft Power BI-enabled solution delivered faster, cloud-accessible workflows, richer analytics and automated surveys/social listening, improving decision-making and providing a scalable foundation for business growth.
