A Microsoft Power BI Case Study
Aon Colombia faced a fragmented, outdated IT environment that made it hard to secure remote work, track incidents, and get timely data to guide service delivery during the COVID-19 crisis. To support a rapid shift to remote and hybrid operations, the organization sought cloud-based tools for security, communications, and real-time analytics — including Microsoft Power BI for visualization and decision support.
Using Microsoft Power BI alongside Microsoft 365 tools, Aon Colombia built dashboards and an intranet hub to centralize communications, automate incident workflows, and monitor key service metrics in real time. The change enabled rapid scaling (televisit volume rose to about 1,000 per day in the case study), a 500% jump in collaboration-platform usage, daily intranet traffic of ~2,500–3,800 visits, and targeted outreach (e.g., campaigns informed by Power BI that restored routine services such as child vaccinations, reaching roughly 100 children per day). Microsoft Power BI provided leaders with the actionable insights needed to improve service delivery and operational resilience.
