Adents gains competitive advantage from Microsoft relationship

Adents, a medium-sized provider of serialization and track-and-trace software for manufacturers, faced rapidly growing global regulations and much longer, more complex distribution chains that made unit-level product tracking essential—especially in pharmaceuticals where contaminated units can be life‑threatening. To meet these challenges and accelerate product delivery, Adents partnered with Microsoft Power BI (via Microsoft Services) to build a cloud-based serialization platform that leverages Microsoft technologies.

Working with Microsoft Power BI, Adents developed Prodigi on Azure using services such as Azure Machine Learning, blockchain, HoloLens, Bot Service and Power BI for real‑time dashboards and analytics. The partnership cut time-to-market in half—bringing Prodigi to market in 18 months—helped Adents become a top-two player in the space, improved counterfeit detection and data integrity, and unlocked new sales channels as Microsoft Power BI now co-sells and supports broader market adoption.
