Adcorp Group, a Johannesburg-based workforce management firm operating across 29 subsidiaries, was struggling to consolidate reporting after rapid acquisition growth: nine different financial systems, no unified data model or governance, and rising support and infrastructure costs. To get scalable advanced analytics and reliable executive reporting, Adcorp turned to Microsoft Power BI together with Microsoft Azure data services.

Using Microsoft Power BI dashboards fed by Azure Data Factory, Blob Storage and Azure SQL Data Warehouse (delivered with Genpact), Adcorp consolidated more than 100 GB and 1.5 billion rows into a single enterprise repository with daily refreshes of 20+ GB. The implementation cut upload volume by 85% (from 23 GB to 1.4 GB) and reduced upload times from hours to minutes, enabled real-time executive dashboards and self-service queries, and delivered Power BI front-end costs at about 25% of a competing solution—dramatically speeding reporting and improving decision-making.
