A Microsoft Power BI Case Study
The Department of Culture & Tourism Abu Dhabi faced the challenge of reviving visitor numbers after COVID-19 by understanding changing traveler decision points and consolidating disparate data sources. To gain a 360-degree view of guest experiences and enable data-driven marketing, the department turned to Microsoft Azure services and Microsoft Power BI for analytics, reporting, and visualization.
Using an Azure-based unified data intelligence platform (including Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage and other Azure services) and Microsoft Power BI for self-service dashboards, DCT Abu Dhabi automated reporting, reduced reliance on IT, and enabled marketing teams to build professional reports quickly. The solution delivered faster, more scalable insights into visitor behavior, campaign performance, and channel attribution—improving decision speed and helping the department better target and attract visitors while gaining greater cost control and IT efficiency.
