As case volumes and data complexity grew, its existing weekly dashboard-based process and manual analyst workflow could not keep up, so the bank turned to Microsoft Power BI, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Explorer for faster cloud-scale analytics.

Microsoft helped ABN AMRO implement Azure Data Explorer connected to Power BI, alongside Azure Synapse Analytics, to accelerate searches, improve dashboards, and support hundreds of concurrent users. The result was a major boost in productivity and investigation speed: heavy report load times dropped from about a minute to 15 seconds, enabling over 2,500 analysts to work more efficiently while handling tens of billions of records.
