A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study
Stockrose, a Stockholm–based property firm managing about 250 buildings and 10,000 apartments, needed a scalable way to cut energy and water use—particularly hot water—across multi-vendor, siloed building systems. Owners lacked visibility into individual tenant consumption, making conservation and fair billing difficult, and the sheer number of sensors and diverse equipment made large‑scale smart-building upgrades complex and costly.
Partnering with Eniga, Stockrose implemented a technology‑agnostic IoT platform on Microsoft Azure (using IoT Gateway SDK, IoT Hub, App Services, DocumentDB/SQL, Dynamics 365 and Power BI) to connect existing sensors and gateways to the cloud, provide a single-pane management view, enable leak detection and predictive maintenance, and link consumption to tenant billing. The solution can connect an apartment in ~20 minutes, scales to millions of sensors, and is expected to save property owners about €40 million over ten years while lowering operational costs and tenant environmental impact.
