Strabag SE builds a risk management solution to improve efficiency using Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform

STRABAG SE, the global construction company, faced a challenge common in a traditional industry: its data was decentralized across business units, access required multiple logins, and it lacked a central way to turn data into operational value. Working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft technologies, STRABAG set out to improve efficiency and support digitalization, starting with a Data Science Hub and a risk management use case.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 helped STRABAG build a centralized, governed data platform using the Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform, including tools such as Microsoft Purview, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure SQL. The result was an AI-based risk management solution that could assess projects early and predict risk with 80% accuracy using just three months of data, saving time and reducing financial losses while supporting broader efficiency gains across the business.
