Snow Peak, a 60-year-old Japanese maker of high-end outdoor and lifestyle products, aimed to strengthen connections with customers and restore “humanity” by turning camping into a continuous lifestyle experience. Their challenge was fragmented data across sales, membership and community touchpoints, which hindered personalized experiences, loyalty-building and the rollout of new services like community events and membership benefits.

Partnering with Next Read and using Microsoft 365 and Azure PaaS, Snow Peak built “Datadam” to consolidate data, integrate with SAP and power the Snow Peak Community app and a new “Life Value Point” system that rewards experiences as well as purchases. The solution unified more than 700,000 member records, increased event engagement and loyalty—and in some cases produced a tenfold rise in purchase value—while providing a scalable, secure platform for future AI, IoT and global expansion.
