A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study
Shueisha, a long-established Japanese publisher expanding into digital publishing, animation, merchandise and events, struggled to assess the "power of works" as sales and engagement data multiplied across apps, online stores and external partners. Paper-based processes and siloed Excel reports made it slow and difficult for editors and sales teams to combine digital and print metrics and make timely decisions.
To address this, Shueisha deployed a data analysis platform on Microsoft Azure—using Azure Blob Storage and Synapse for storage and warehousing, Power BI for reporting, Purview for data cataloging, and Azure AD for governance—going live in May 2022. The platform consolidated diverse data sources into shared, up‑to‑date reports, eliminated much manual report preparation, improved cross‑team decision making by letting everyone see the same metrics, and set the stage for demand forecasting and future machine‑learning initiatives.
