A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study
Manor AG, Switzerland’s largest department‑store chain with 63 branches and 10,000 employees, faced a major IT challenge: a 25‑year‑old, Oracle‑based proprietary ERP that could not support digitalisation, omnichannel retail or modern analytics. The company sought a standard, low‑maintenance solution to future‑proof operations, improve customer insights and enable eCommerce while managing the organisation‑wide change this would require.
Manor selected Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations and Dynamics 365 for Sales, together with Office 365, SharePoint Online and Yammer, working with Microsoft partners BE‑terna and CRM provider Defacto. After PoCs and security/performance testing, the CRM went live and reclaimed customer data from external providers; the cloud ERP rollout (planned for early 2019) is laying the foundation for omnichannel retail, better analytics and management reporting, and a more customer‑focused, future‑proof IT environment.
