A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study
Qatar Social Work (QSW) is a small nonprofit operating eight specialized centers that support family stability, youth, people with disabilities, and the elderly. Faced with fragmented on‑premises servers at each center, unclear inventory and licensing, weak backup and security practices, and rising operational burden, QSW needed to centralize technology so staff could focus on service delivery rather than infrastructure.
QSW migrated core systems to Microsoft Azure and adopted Microsoft 365 E5 (with Teams, OneDrive and Planner) while beginning to roll out Dynamics 365; it also deployed Azure security services, Sentinel, Defender for Cloud and Intune. The move centralized management, cut overall costs by about 75% (daily infrastructure costs to roughly 30%), reduced new IT deployments from up to three months to ~20 minutes, raised uptime from 95% to 99.9%, sped incident detection/response by ~70%, improved backup/recovery by ~40%, and increased staff training and remote-work capabilities.
