Poloplast reimagines forecasting with demand planning in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management

Poloplast, an Austrian manufacturer of plastic pipe systems, needed a better way to forecast demand and connect planning with its ERP process. Its monthly spreadsheet-based approach was time-consuming, disconnected from production planning, and only covered a three-month outlook, making it difficult for teams to stay aligned. Poloplast chose Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, including the Demand planning feature, to replace the manual process.

With support from BE-terna and Microsoft, Poloplast implemented Demand planning in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management to create a more collaborative, user-friendly forecasting system. The result was a single source of truth, forecasting extended to 18 months with one click, improved resource allocation, and more precise purchasing. Poloplast also reported a measurable reduction in external storage costs, along with less wasteful ordering and stronger cross-department collaboration.
