A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study
Oasen is a Dutch non‑profit that supplies 48 billion litres of drinking water a year to about 750,000 residents in South Holland. Facing aging infrastructure, limited resources and the need to keep operating costs low while preventing leaks, bursts and contamination, the company set out to modernize its distribution and treatment network and to improve customer service and maintenance efficiency.
Oasen implemented a cloud‑based smart‑grid using Azure IoT, Azure Data Lake, Cortana Analytics, IoT Central, HoloLens, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform tools to centralize control, enable predictive maintenance and automate customer interactions. In the first year it predicted 50% of burst mains—saving water and repair costs—rolled out smart meters and valves, deployed a customer chatbot, built 3D plant models and expects up to an 80% reduction in manual work as it scales to connect 300,000 meters and expand remote operations.
